I have filled a lot of gaps in my expansive musical library through Tumbleweeds. The staff and owner are friendly and helpful, they are excellent with special orders. Like comics, vinyl has many factors condition, rarity, disc, cover, additional inserts etc. On-Line prices vary too much, reputable price guides don't change on a whim. Printed price guides are the most reliable sources out there, not some conceited collector's opinion. For almost 20 years I was the stock-manager at Sarge's Comics and dealt with used comics. Almost all the vinyl has price tags right on them, and volume discounts are the norm. The vinyl room has been reorganized very efficiently, to the point where almost anyone can just walk in and find what they are looking for without help. The broad range of Blues and Jazz CDs has always given me a great variety to chose from. I have been going to Tumbleweeds since 1990 and have always been treated courteously.

Take a look around & be a judge for yourself, you might discover that you like the shop too. If your a true music lover (especially a true digger) & you live in the the southeastern part of Connecticut, your doing yourself a discredit if you haven't at least checked this place out. I've definitely found some of my favorite records in my collection in this store. In fact, one of the things I love to shop there for is Jazz & Rock music.

All the music is well organized & is well divided between genres & artist. I read in one other review that this place is out order which couldn't be any further from the truth. Although I have had instances were they've been generous with prices if I had bought a good number of items. Their price either meet the market or are just below them. Even though the prices are not overly expensive don't expect to find a rare gem in the dollar bin. You can find old material, new material, hard to find stuff or just common things you may want a newer or extra copy of. And I feel that's what makes this places special. Being someone who's been a hardcore 'digger' for about fifteen years now, its always gratifying to find a place that has a large & diverse range of vinyl to look through.

My first trip into the store I probably spent at least an hour & a half digging through & finding some great (and rarely seen in this area) vinyl. I saw the store & I was curious so I decided to walk in and discovered a shop with a wide range of CD & LP's all throughout the store. I was waiting for a friend who lived nearby to return home. I found this spot one day while I was killing time in Niantic, CT.
